CMP Juniors Shooting Program

Abe Lincoln Gun Club will be hosting shooting events for youth 10 to 19 years of age from both member and non-member families. Basic firearm safety will be stressed, and developing/improving marksmanship skills will be the focus of the two hour sessions:

ALGC will furnish age-appropriate .22 rifles, ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection, and all other equipment needed to learn and develop safe shooting fundamentals. These events are in affiliation with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), a national organization dedicated to shooting competition, safety, and training. ALGC is a not-for-profit private club that sponsors these events at no cost to participants. Club membership is not required. NRA certified instructor and experienced coaches will be on hand. No FOID is required. 

A signed waiver will be required of all our guests on club property for the first time. No personal firearms please. Inclement weather will move the event into the indoor range so no date is ever canceled due to weather. Come to one or come to all three, but this is an excellent opportunity for familiarization, training, and friendly competition with other kids in a controlled and safe environment. (We also have fun)
